For the longest time, my ultimate aspiration was to secure a stable position on a stage, ideally right after graduation, in order to sidestep the anxiety that accompanies the search for an entry-level graphic designer role. However, as I delve deeper into self-discovery and embrace authenticity, I’ve come to understand that I must confront my fear of failure. I’ve consistently demonstrated resilience and a knack for excelling in any endeavor I undertake. With this newfound clarity, I’ve made the decision to embark on a transformative journey to Spain, commencing in September 2024 and concluding in February 2025, following my graduation. My primary objective during this period is to immerse myself in the Spanish language and culture through intensive courses while residing with a local host family.

My adventure will commence with a three-month stay in the enchanting city of Malaga, where I will be absorbed in the language and lifestyle. Subsequently, I will relocate to the vibrant metropolis of Barcelona to conclude my studies. I am confident that it will not only serve as a platform for my personal and professional development but also allow me to further hone my concert photography skills as I explore Spain’s dynamic music scene. If circumstances permit, I may even undertake graphic design contracts along the way.

The prospect of this journey is undeniably daunting, as it ventures beyond my comfort zone, yet I firmly believe that stepping into the unknown is essential for personal growth. This is a profound opportunity that instills both excitement and trepidation within me.

In the face of uncertainty, I have chosen to embrace this challenge wholeheartedly, confident that it will catalyze tremendous personal and professional development. While the road ahead may be fraught with uncertainty, I am determined to confront it head-on, equipped with the knowledge that this transformative experience will shape me into a more resilient, culturally enriched, and linguistically adept individual. Upon my return, I anticipate looking back on this decision with eternal gratitude for the profound impact it will have on my life.

I aspire to embark on my professional journey with the guidance of a dedicated mentor who can nurture my growth and development. My ultimate goal is to harmonize all my passions into a single career path, amalgamating design, travel, music, photography, and the possibility of acquiring a new language. Why limit oneself? With this diverse set of interests, I envision a future as a concert photographer, traversing the globe alongside some of my favorite musical artists. This aspiration feels attainable, considering my recent experience collaborating with local Montreal-based groups to capture their live performances. The thrill of freelancing in concert photography resonates with me deeply.

Additionally, I envision a potential career with a prominent organization like Spotify. Spotify aligns with my passions on multiple levels. Firstly, it was established in the captivating city of Stockholm, a place I aspire to call home one day. Moreover, at its core, Spotify revolves around music—a source of boundless inspiration for me. Equally compelling is the company’s graphic design, which exerts a significant impact on its target audience. I yearn to contribute to this visual storytelling and be a part of the artistic influence it wields.

Fundamentally, my lifelong ambition has been to effect positive change and influence others. If I can harness my talents to impact people’s lives through the profound mediums of music and art, it would render my career profoundly meaningful. These passions have been constant sources of peace and inspiration throughout my life, and the prospect of reciprocating that positivity to the world drives my professional aspirations. In essence, my career choice is fueled by the desire to pay forward the enrichment I have derived from these creative pursuits and to craft a future where my passions converge into a purposeful and fulfilling vocation.
